スティーブ・ジョブズからの手紙
私はこれまで常々、私がAppleのCEOとして職務と期待に
応えられなくなるような日が来たときは、私からまず皆様に
お伝えすると申してきました。残念ながら、その日が来ました。
私はAppleのCEOを辞任いたします。もし取締役会が認めて
くださるならば、取締役会会長、取締役そしてAppleの従業員として
今後も務めさせていただきたいと思います。
私の後任には、継承計画を実行し、ティム・クックをAppleの
CEOに任命するよう、強く薦めたいと考えています。
Appleの最も輝く、最も革新的な日々はこれからだと信じています。
その成功を新しい役で見守り、また貢献したいと思っております。
私はAppleで、生涯で最高の友人と言える人たちと出会いました。
長年にわたり、皆様と一緒に仕事をさせていただいことに感謝いたします。

To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:
I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer
meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first
to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve,
if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute
our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it.
And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple,
and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.Steve

そこはかとなくグッとくる感じ。でも意外とホントに信じてるのかもしれないな。
紳助、サキチィに続いて、ついにジョブズも引退。
私もそろそろ真面目に自分の引退について考えなくては・・・
